Cadiz, where there so much more to enjoy than just your event

Hold your event in a stunning location adjacent to the largest cork oak forest on the Iberian Peninsular and one of the largest in the world – the Parque Natural de Los Alcornocales. The surrounding area, known as the Campo de Gibraltar, also stands out for its picturesque pueblos blancos or white villages and a long Atlantic coastline made up of pristine beaches, fine sand and crystal waters.

Parque Natural 1

The Parque Natural de los Alcornocales enjoys a unique sub-tropical microclimate that gives it a jungle look and a ‘ready for adventure’ ambience. These forests remain unspoilt and you will see wildlife such as roe deer, fallow deer and wild boar plus the wonderful spectacle of millions of soaring birds crossing the Strait of Gibraltar to and from their annual migrations.

The actual village of Castellar de la Frontera has been declared an Historic Artistic Monument but Castellar is just one of the many fine Pueblos Blancos in the marvellous province of Cadiz.

Whilst here why not admire the sunset at Zahara, wrap yourself in the Tarifa winds or sample the best, freshest tuna from Barbate.

Los Lances

The Cadiz coast boasts some of the finest beaches on the Iberian Peninsula. Hotel Castellar enjoys a unique location that allows you to experience the Mediterranean and Atlantic coastlines – both within a 15 minute drive.

Within the Campo de Gibraltar and among the closest to Hotel Castellar some of the most outstanding of Cadiz beaches are Tarifa, Los Lances, Valdevaqueros, Bologna and Zahara.

Gibraltar

Having the British independent territory of Gibraltar as our very near neighbour allows for the perfect enhancement to any type of celebration or MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conference and Exhibitions) event.

Gibraltar is a major cultural and tourism attraction within our region where English is spoken and the currency is effectively the pound sterling. Your delegates and guests can visit the Upper Rock, St Michael’s Cave, Leonora’s Cave, The Great Siege Tunnels, and the famous Mirador de Los Monos with its spectacular views.

Polo

Within the famous development of Sotogrande, which is just a 15 minute drive from from Hotel Castellar, you can spend the day enjoying sport with some of the finest golf courses and polo grounds in Europe.

In addition, the port of Sotogrande is renowned within the sailing fraternity and is a benchmark for excellence in the world of regattas.
